The company recently signed an agreement with Positive Beverage to expand retail distribution of Positive’s electrolyte-infused sports drinks. Electrolytes are chemicals that conduct small electrical charges essential to bodily functions.
Positive opened for business in 2015, and its drinks have been available in about 200 stores. With L. A. Libations’ assistance, distribution will multiply in 2019. The drink has already been placed in Bristol Farms and Gelson’s, which sell other L. A. Libations brands.
To prepare for the change, Positive redesigned its bottle, making the list of ingredients easier to read. To increase its appeal, the drink has been reformulated from a non-bubbling to a sparkling product.
Expressing the opinion that health drinks should not have to sell for prices up to $6 per bottle, Positive’s chief executive officer, Zach Muchnick, announced that its price would be cut to $1.99 from its previous $2.49.
