The Argyros family foundation has bankrolled two facilities on campus. The first is the Argyros Center for Worship and Performing Arts, built around a 900-seat auditorium with large projection screens. Also funded is a second floor for spectators in the Living Legacy Athletic Center. The $17 million projects represent the first part of the school’s Bright Future campaign to upgrade the campus, which was created in 1987.
Several other rooms comprise the first phase, ranging from new classrooms for kindergarten and the arts program to patios on both floors. An elevator will also be added and a new air conditioning system installed.
If enough financing is obtained, a second phase will provide new atriums and new classrooms for elementary and middle school pupils. Mariners currently teaches 700 students from kindergarten through eighth grade.
